UTCX Series Points & Scoring

UTCX has 10 races. Riders earn series points at every race they compete in, but only their best 8 results count toward their final series standings.

“What does Best 8 mean?” example:

Race 10 races → best 8 count, lowest 2 dropped
Race 9 races → best 8 count, lowest 1 dropped
Race 8 races → all 8 count
Race 7 or fewer → all results count

Are series points tied to the rider or the category?

Series points are tied to the category in which they were earned and do not transfer between categories. If a rider competes in C for three races and later moves to B, the points earned in C remain in the C standings. The rider will begin earning separate series points in B from that point forward.

How are ties in series points broken?
If two riders finish the season with the same Best-8 points total, the tie will be broken by their most recent head-to-head result. The rider who finished ahead in the most recent race where both riders competed will receive the higher overall series placing.

All categories’ finishers receive 1 point for finishing after the top 20. ​
